It’s that time of year again! Time to do some serious spring cleaning. I personally LOVE to clean out the house and freshen things up a bit. Especially after this looooong winter we have had in Minnesota. I just want to be able to open the windows again. I love to clean, but I do NOT love to clean with harsh chemicals! No thank you. This is why I make my own, and you know what? I have saved a ton of money making my own too! I mean a lot of money, I’m sure you are aware of how expensive those natural cleaners at the health food store are. I wanted to make this easy for you so I am going to give you the recipes for some of my favorite cleaners and fresheners. Plus a bonus book SALE! Yay for spring!
No longer are the days of Febreze, but you can still have a little wine in the process…
First of all, let’s get started with the essentials to have on hand…
- Â White vinegar (where to find)
- Â Baking soda (where to find)
- Â Washing soda (where to find)
- Â Coconut oil (where to find)
- Glass bottles to use as spray bottles we reuse these
- Essential oils (where to get the highest quality to use in your house)
Here are the cleaners and methods that I use the most in my house:Â
- Homemade Liquid Laundry Detergent
- Homemade Powder Laundry Detergent
- Abrasive Cleaner Made from Eggshells
- How to get Rid of Boxelder Bugs Naturally
- Homemade Non-Toxic Glass Cleaner
- How to Season a Cast Iron Skillet
- “Better Than Lysol” Spray
- Homemade Dishwasher Detergent (without the Borax)
- Lemon Lavender Homemade Multipurpose Cleaner
I have to admit, I also sorta kinda wish I had one of these to make it even easier, don’t you?Â
