If you are looking to get gluten out of your diet but can’t give up your noodles, then this is the solution for you: How to Make Noodles Out of Vegetables!

It is possible to make noodles out of vegetables, and only vegetables. Just one ingredient! You just need this handy little tool.

I love to use zucchini noodles as a substitute in all of my Italian-style meals. The sprialized fruits and veggies look great in salads, too. They add a beautiful texture that looks like ribbons. They are also perfect “kid food.” My kids think they are eating macaroni (sneaky, sneaky).

Vegetable "Noodles"

If you are looking to get gluten out of your diet, or eating low carb/keto but can’t give up your noodles, then this is the solution for you.

Ingredients

  • I typically use zucchini, daikon radishes, carrots, and even apples. Fruits and vegetables that are firm and without a lot of seeds do the best.

Instructions

    1. Wash your vegetable or fruit.
    2. Slice off one end so there is a flat side to sink the Spiralizer’s “teeth” into.
    3. Spiralize away! It’s so easy and so awesome!

  1. My experience is that a carrot is still a carrot, no matter how you slice it…or spiralize it. :o) No one around here would be tricked into thinking it’s pasta. But as they say, your mileage may vary. Thanks for posting.

    1. My kids are still at that magical age that they will eat things if you present them right. My daughter will eat “ribbons”….especially if they are “princess ribbons”. A rose by any other name. 🙂
